In 2008, the little-known cast of the upcoming movie “Twilight” posed for a Vanity Fair group shot. The movie — and the actors in it, including Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — went on to fame, fortune and lots of sequels. Here’s hoping the same mojo holds for “The Hunger Games.” In Vanity Fair’s latest issue, the movie’s young cast — anchored by star Jennifer Lawrence — pose in what we’ll now officially call the “Vanity Fair Teen Fantasy Movie Ensemble Shot.”

“The Hunger Games” — based on the popular young adult books by Suzanne Collins about a dystopian future where children are forced to battle gladiator style — is currently filming in North Carolina and expected to hit theaters in March 2012. Meanwhile, the next “Twilight” installment, “Breaking Dawn Part 1,” is due in theaters on Nov. 18, just in time for Thankgsgiving.

In addition to Lawrence, “The Hunger Games” stars (in the order pictured above, l-r) Isabelle Furhman, Jack Quaid (yep, his parents are Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan), Jacqueline Emerson, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin, Alexander Ludwig, Amandla Stenberg, Josh Hutcherson, Lawrence and, finally, Liam Hemsworth.

The over-30 members of the cast, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz, were not included in the pic. Also left out, 11-year-old Willow Shields, who plays Lawrence’s younger sister, Prim.

While we were très disappointed Kristen Stewart didn’t make an appearance during the Breaking Dawn Paris promos (come on, like we really wanted to see Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene together), we were very pleased with the deets Rob spilled.

It is, indeed, as K.Stew is busy filming Snow White and the Huntsman, and after spending some quality time with his love last week, Rob realized while chatting with TF1 that he might be more suited for L.A.:

Twihards have been waiting with bated breath for news on casting of the Denali vampire coven, the longstanding allies of the franchise’s Cullen family.

Today Summit Entertainment confirmed much of the Denali cast for the forthcoming pair of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” movies, revealing that Christian Camargo has come aboard as Eleazar, Casey LaBow has joined as Kate, Mia Maestro will play Carmen and MyAnna Buring will star as Tanya. ( Maggie Grace had already been announced as Irina.) The role of Garrett remains unfilled.

Tanya, who once expressed an interest in Edward Cullen, is the leader of the clan. Like the Cullens, with whom they have a longstanding relationship, the Denalis drink only animal blood. The previous film, “Eclipse,” did see tensions between the Cullens and the Denalis, however, and the new book and films will continue their saga, with the Denalis now getting a more prominent role.

Camargo, at 39, is probably one of the more veteran actors of the group, with “The Hurt Locker,” “K-19: The Widowmaker” and “Dexter” among his credits. It remains to be seen if these actors get the boost that some believe a “Twilight” casting can provide — shades of Cam Gigandet but with the announcement Summit does instantly raise the profile of a group of workaday actors.

The announcement of the role no doubt broke the hearts for the many lesser-known actors, and average teenagers, hoping for a shot in the franchise. But fear not — when it comes to “Twilight,” there’s always a bit part somewhere waiting to be filled.

It’s a big day for Twihards. First Maggie Grace signs on to play Irina. Now EW.com has learned that little 9-year old Mackenzie Foy is inches away from signing on to play Renesmee, Edward and Bella’s vampire/human love child that’s a central role in the final installment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

It’s not yet clear how the diminutive actress, who’s appeared in one episode each of television shows FlashForward and ‘Til Death, will portray the character who ages a full 17 years in only seven. Sources have suggested that director Bill Condon will employ similar digital effects to those used by David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where Foy’s face would be digitally transferred onto the face of a younger child. It’s also probable that the studio will hire a younger child in some capacity, too.

Summit Entertainment is remaining mum on the issue. But to see Foy’s angelic face, which could very well be the offspring of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, check out her website.
