In Breaking Dawn: Part 2, Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) daughter Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) is at the center of the ruling vamp clan Volturi’s wrath in the final installment of the Twilight series, and the new parents enlist some formidable allies for the cause.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 hits theaters November 16, 2012.
On Nov. 16th, we’re going to be saying goodbye to Bella Swan and Edward Cullen on the big screen for the last time. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 is the fifth and final film in The Twilight Saga franchise and, after four years of dominating the box office, this new movie is going to bring the series to a close.
Since we’re feeling so sentimental about Breaking Dawn — Part 2′s upcoming release, we decided to put together a list of the reasons we can’t wait for the film to hit theaters. We would be lying if we said one of them didn’t have something to do with the fact it means we’ll see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart standing next to one another again.
1. Bella Is A Vampire
Hopefully it’s not a spoiler by now to reveal that Bella Swan is officially a vampire by the end of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1. After four long films, the heroine of The Twilight Saga has gotten her eternal life with her beloved Edward Cullen, and they are finally on an equal playing field. That means she’s got superhuman speed, an appetite for blood and the desire to have lots of crazy vampire sex. And that’s really what we were signed up for this whole time, right?
2. There Are Many New Characters Introduced
When the Breaking Dawn novel was released, author Stephenie Meyer introduced so many new characters that she needed to add an appendix at the end of the book for us to keep them straight. We finally get to meet the whole group of new vampires from around the world in Breaking Dawn — Part 2, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We saw Zafrina, Garrett, Charlotte, Amun and the whole rest of the gang teased in the Part 2 teaser trailer earlier this year, but we’re just excited to meet them all in person — especially Lee Pace’s Garrett, but that could just be because we miss Pushing Daisies so much.
3. Nice To Meet You, Renesmee
Speaking of new characters, there’s one in particular we can’t wait to clock some quality time with: Renesmee. The daughter of Bella and Edward is one special creature because she is half human and half vampire. She also is the love interest of Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who we saw imprint on the newborn at the end of Breaking Dawn — Part 1. We still haven’t seen Bella find out that her werewolf best friend and former love interest is the soulmate of her newborn child, and we’ve heard that she doesn’t take the news very well in Part 2.
4. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will reunite on the press tour
So sue us, we’re suckers for this romance (no pun intended). It was hard not to get drawn into Robsten’s are they/aren’t they love story, which lasted from the first news of their audition make-out session on Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke’s bed until it was revealed that Stewart had cheated on Pattinson with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The couple will be reunited in public for the first time during the Breaking Dawn — Part 2 press tour and, based on the fact they’re rumored to be back together, we hope they form a united front when we see them again.
5. The End Of A Saga
It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than seven years since Meyer first released Twilight. During that time, her series of four novels and the subsequent film adaptations have become a global phenomenon that has changed the way both young adult books and female-oriented film franchises are perceived. It will be sad to say goodbye to such a significant part of our pop culture this November, but Meyer has teased that she’d be open to writing more books set in the Twilight world one day (in fact, she already has). That means there’s still a chance we could get more Bella and Edward down the road, though our fingers are crossed for a Volturi prequel.
It will be hard to say goodbye to Twilight when Nov. 16 rolls around, but for now we’re just happy to have been a part of such a massive worldwide phenomenon. We’re going to shelf our sadness for now and focus on how excited we are to catch the spectacle-that-will-be on the big screen.
So, let the countdown begin!

Fans of Twilight Breaking Dawn and The Hunger Games can rejoice now that all 5 of the Tonner dolls are out for pre-order. These highend dolls have been in the works for a long while, including The Hunger Games collection since it was announced back in April. For Twilight Breaking Dawn, they have a Forever Bella ($199.99) and Forever Edward ($189.99-which they have no photo of as of yet) dolls. Bella is dressed in a wedding dress and Edward in a nice tux. As for The Hunger Games dolls, they have Katniss ($179.99), Gale ($169.99) and Peeta ($169.99 and again, no available photo yet). The collections have no actual release dates yet, despite of being available for pre-order at this time.
I am pleased that they are finally coming out and hopefully before the holiday season starts. These will make great memorabilia for fans of either franchises or both. My only issue is the price point, but I will say that I have heard great things about Tonner’s dolls and it sounds like the prices will be well worth it. I do love how they do customized faces for each doll to make sure that they match the star they played. It really shows that they go the extra mile and that makes me happy to know that a lot of time goes into each one of these dolls.
How do you like the doll collections? Do you want one, three or all five them? I like them, they clearly know what they are doing and they look great. But I am not sure where I would put them to keep them safe and that makes me scared of buying them. However, if you have one of those protective cases, I can see buying them and keeping them safe that way. As for the dolls and how they sell, I think it is safe to say that they will sell out quickly. I would recommend ordering one now while you can since they won’t last for long thanks to both films having some seriously major fans who jump on anything related to the franchises.
