The Site
I'm Natalie and I'm 30 years old and I have a problem! I'm addicted to Twilight! lol! It's not just for teens and it's been proven time and time again (just check out the wonderful ladies over at Twilight Moms if you need proof) that adults love the series too. I'm not quite sure exactly why that is. For me, I've always had a fascination with the occult and supernatural, and that included vampires. So when my 14 year old niece rambled nonstop about Twilight, I didn't really pay attention (Sorry, sweetie... Auntie loves you! xo) until two things that interest me were brought up. One was the fact the story was about vampires and the other, Robert Pattinson was cast to play the lead role of Edward. So being interested in vampire stories (I'm a huge Anne Rice, Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan by the way) and having fallen in love with Robert Pattinson a few years back when he played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I had to check it out.
So what exactly did I do? I bought e-books, downloaded them and read all three novels in three days. Even my niece couldn't get over how fast I read them! So that was it, I was hooked! I joined Equinox (a RPG site) and about a month after that I joined Twilight Moms.
Coming from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom, fansite business was a very serious business. And also, community was very strong and important. I started a Buffy site back in 1997 and I still have friends from those days (Faith Bowie being one of them who by the way did the coding for this site and installed some of our scripts).
Without taking away from Twilight Moms (my favourite hang out spot), or any of the other established sites, I wanted to create an online atmosphere that everyone would feel welcome at. We have very strict "rules" at this site and we will abide them. What rules? No Paparazzi! is the biggest one. We respect the privacy of the celebrities starring in Twilight or associated with the series and do not wish to put them, their friends and their family in any danger. You will only find Red Carpet Candids and official photo shoots both related and unrelated to Twilight.
The Webmiss
So you already know my name and age... I've been doing fansites for a number of years now. started in 1997 and there was no looking back! lol! My biggest and most popular site would be dedicated to Anne Hathaway and I also run sites dedicated to Reese Witherspoon, Orlando Bloom, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and a few others that I can't think of while I type this lol! I used to be pretty good at html but I have since left that to Faith, but I still manage fairly well with graphics. I don't keep up with current trends if I can avoid it. I have my own style and like to keep it that way.
I'm a musician and play music whenever time allows but that isn't too often I'm afraid. I'd like to someday record an album but so far that plan isn't working well. Mainly because of costs involved and the fact that original music isn't very welcome where I live. But someday....
